Professional development workshops have become a key feature of our Fairs over the past 5 years and in continuing to build on the success of these, Explore CRS would like to invite interested schools to send a representative to deliver a PD workshop at one of the 2018 events.

Incorporating PD sessions into the Fair schedule offers a very different perspective to the customary Fair experience and provides an opportunity for both recruiters and candidates to engage in a professional context outside of a formal interview.

It is also an excellent opportunity for recruiters to showcase their school. We have 8 individual sessions at each Fair venue with each session of 1 ½ hour duration including Q&A time. accessing candidates’ information & pre-booking interviews

After the 1st December 2017, Explore CRS will open an online database of candidates who have been screened and who have confirmed attendance at either the Shanghai or Abu Dhabi Fairs.

Full CV and references will be accessible alongside the Explore CRS profile. In order to take advantage of the opportunity to interview the maximum number of relevant candidates, we recommend the pre-scheduling of interviews prior to the start of the Fair where possible.

Attending schools will receive individual login information in order to review candidates’ details and invite candidates for interview. This database is continually being added to and a full list of candidates attending won’t be available until a few days before the Fairs.

onsite registration & leadership interviews

Day 1 (12th January): Schools will be able to check-in for the Fair any time between 8:00am-6:00pm.

We will dedicate the first day of the Fair to PD workshops and Leadership interviews. For clients wishing to interview senior management candidates, we will work with you prior to the fair to shortlist and pre-book interviews. All Leadership based enquiries should be directed to vanessa@explorecrs.com.

Check-in for recruiters will be in the Recruiters’ HQ where schools will receive their recruiters’ information pack and have access to hard copies of attending candidates’ profiles, CVs and references. Signs in front of the PD workshop rooms will indicate where and when each workshop takes place. Recruiters are welcome to attend these.

Schools will have access to the Recruiters’ HQ throughout the three days of the Fair and the Explore CRS Information Desk is also located in the Recruiters’ HQ should you need any assistance.

Day 2 (13th January) starts in the Ballroom.

The open fair session will be held from 9am to 11am. During this time, candidates will be able to visit schools’ tables to either confirm a previously arranged interview or enquire about the possibility of an interview.

Each school will be provided with a table and chairs, with space to display vacancies and exhibition materials. We encourage you to bring additional promotional material along. Schools will be able to set up in the ballroom between 8am and 8.45am.

information for candidates: directory of schools

Explore CRS will provide all candidates with a directory of schools attending the Recruitment Fairs.

Each school will be highlighted with a school picture, a general description in regards to enrolment, academic faculty and curricula. Salary package and benefits information will not be included. We kindly request that attending schools provide this information as well as their vacancies (expected or known) as early as possible in November 2017.

interviewing & making job offers

Two unique features of Explore CRS Fairs are the use of dedicated interview rooms for recruiters (no need to interview in your own hotel room!) and the management of the offer process.

We provide free interview rooms for the first 20 schools to register and we have a standard interview schedule that we hand out to all schools with 30 minute blocks. Schools can choose to arrange their sessions either in 30, 45 or 60 minute blocks according to preference.

Offers of contract can be made at the Fair - however we kindly ask schools not to make formal job offers until after 12 noon on Day 3 of the Fair. This allows all recruiters to interview candidates of interest and it also means that candidates don’t feel pressured to accept offers before they’ve considered all job roles of potential interest to them.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. There will also be coffee, tea and snacks available for recruiters in the morning and afternoon in the Recruiters’ HQ.

A buffet lunch in the hotel restaurant (with a wide range of food options) is included with your registration and can be taken at any time between 11.30am to 2.00pm.

recruiters’ welcome event

We will be holding our welcome event at 6pm on the 12th January. This is a great chance for you to meet other school representatives and enjoy drinks and canapes on the house.

Our mixer event is held from 6pm to 8pm on Day 2 (13th January) and provides an opportunity for candidates and recruiters to meet informally, with drinks and canapes on the house.

how to get there!

Four Seasons 500 Weihai Road is 25 minutes from Hongqiao Airport and Train Station and 40 minutes from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Taxis are inexpensive - you will pay around 50RMB for a one-way journey from Hongqiao Airport and around 200 to 220RMB from Pudong. Explore CRS will provide you with the hotel address in Chinese to show the taxi driver. It is also possible to catch the Shanghai Maglev train part of the way if preferred and we can provide you with instructions as to how to do this.

China Visas:

All visitors to China require a visa, which must be applied for well in advance. Fees vary depending on place of residence with applications made via your local Chinese consulate or visa agent. Please contact Winnie Ma at winnie@explorecrs.com for assistance with this.

fair value: recruiter registration procedure and costs

Please note that one registration fee allows the school to attend the Fair if they wish to AND provides access to the wider database of candidates not attending the Fairs up until the 15th February 2018.

Fair Registration:
600 USD = 1 Fair, 1 recruiter

900 USD = 2 Fairs, 1 recruiter

1,000 USD = 2 Fairs, 2 recruiters per Fair

300 USD for each additional recruiter attending
Candidate Placement Fees:
2,000 USD per placement for teaching and support positions

3,000 USD per placement for middle management positions

5,000 USD per placement for school leadership position

In order to formally register, recruiters will need to sign an Explore CRS Recruitment Fair agreement.

Yas Island Rotana Hotel is a 15 minute taxi ride from Abu Dhabi Airport and about 45 minutes drive from Dubai. It will take about an hour from Dubai’s international airport.
